Mary had no assistant apart from Joseph, No nurses, no special guests, no relatives to rejoice at the moment of birth , animal droppings around and so on if you can imagine. Why were they directed by an angel to a such a place ? Didnt angel knew any better place for the birth?
The greatest king of the universe CHOSE his destination to birth in such a place. He chose it for you and me. That’s why we see Jesus saying- It is the sick and the lost who need me, blessed are the “poor” in spirit for their’s is the kingdom. Are you poor in the spirit this Christmas?
Check this out- He has no one around during his birthing moment, but end of it were few ordinary and extraordinary men who celebrated the birth. Why “few”. I believe they were all “poor” in Spirit. The scribes , the pharasees were all well informed but they missed it!
Whats being poor in spirit mean?
Hungry and Helpless. 
The Greatest revelation of all times was shown to these humble and the poor in spirit men. They waited all night, they took effort to search . I believe God saw all that and favoured them to meet the king FIRST.
If you are hungry and helpless this Christmas, you will encounter God and His power.
