You are called to be a witness!

Hello Jesus lovers,

Welcome to my new blog. This site will be linked to our new site(  that’s on the way shortly.

Being in ministry for several years reaching out to people from all ages, culture, needs etc kept asking this to the Lord to make me an effective servant for His kingdom. There were many trails and challenges on the way but during such a  time the Lord spoke to me about being “a witness ” than a preacher.

Here is the  key verse to what I am relating to. In 1 John 1:

“1That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life”
Apostles witnessed Christ personally. Their message was centered around their personal time with Christ. You also can see the impact Samaritan woman brought to the village after meeting Jesus personally. What about Mary Magdalene? Who saw the tomb empty and made an impact to people who locked themselves with fear?
To be a preacher /motivator or a inspirer  can be one who showcases stories/people’s testimonies or may be his thoughts about some situations but you and I are anointed to be His witnesses! Its a different experience.
Witnesses? How can I be one?

These apostles spent 3 yrs with Jesus while He was on earth. They prayed with Him, shopped with Him, went to fishing, miracle services etc etc. They learnt His habits to what he likes or dislikes. They personally witnessed how Jesus brought healing to the sick, raised the dead, wiped tears, how He turned people to joy, forgave them etc.  In Genesis 4:1 “And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived…..” . The word knew there is a personal thing. We know Barack obama but not personally! There’s a impact when we are in a personal relationship.
We see the above verse in 1john 1:1; explains their intimacy with Him. John continues to say ……”this we proclaim concerning the Word of life”. It says “THIS”( explaining their closeness with Jesus). They had no speck of doubt whether the Lord would leave them or He wont show up when they prayed for the sick. They were in full assurance of Lord’s presence. Sadly we see many skip their time with God or be doubtful of many things of God. Can we crave for such a relationship with Jesus?
You never see disciples asking questions, you just see them in the realm of faith moving mountains. When you and I go through situations which we cant handle ,we see His mighty power stepping in and lifting our faith back. End of it we are shaped by God to be His powerful witnesses.
The impact we make outside depends on impact we had inside from God. God has purposed you from the beginning to be His witness. You don’t need any special boost to preach when  have tasted His love everyday.
God is calling you this day to be His witness of His love and grace. He longs for a personal relationship with you.
Are you ready?
